UV weathering chamber can simulate the harm caused by sunshine and rain, use fluorescent UV lamp to simulate sunlight, and use distilled water to spray to simulate the effect of rain. The tested material is placed in the light cycle program at a certain temperature for testing. The machine can reproduce the hazards occurred in months or years outdoors in a few days or weeks. The hazard types include fading, discoloration, light loss, powder light, cracking, turbidity, bubbles, embrittlement, strength, deterioration and oxidation.

Test equipment
1. The structure of the test chamber is made of corrosion-resistant metal materials, including 8 fluorescent ultraviolet lamps, test sample racks, temperature and time control systems and indicators< br />

3. The lamps are installed in a row, and each switch controls four tubes, which are divided into two groups< br />
4. The test sample shall be fixed at the position 50 ㎜ from the nearest parallel plane of the lamp surface
The test chamber shall be placed in the test chamber with a temperature of 15~35 ℃, 300 ㎜ away from the wall, and shall be protected from the influence of other heat sources. The air in the test chamber shall not circulate strongly, so as not to affect the lighting and condensation conditions< br />
Test conditions
1. Place the test sample on the sample rack
2. Test temperature: RT+10~70 ℃ temperature can be adjusted during lighting, and the tolerance uniformity of temperature is± 3℃。< br />
3. Various cycle modes such as 4H light, 4H condensation or 8H light, 4H condensation can be selected for each condensation cycle of light< br />
4. After the first illumination of 400~450H, one or two lamps shall be replaced, and other lamps shall compensate for the loss caused by lamp aging according to lamp cycle and replacement method. This operation mode ensures that the service life of each lamp is 1600~2000H< br />
Test sample and performance evaluation
1. Evaluation of appearance: the evaluation of paint is mainly about the appearance. If necessary, plastic and rubber can also be evaluated. The inspection items are mainly gloss, color change, chalking, spots, blistering, cracks, dimensional stability, etc. Quantitative item detection shall be carried out with instruments as far as possible, such as glossmeter and colorimeter< br />
2. Evaluation of mechanical and other properties: the tensile strength, elongation and hardness of general rubber materials are measured, and the impact strength, elongation at break, tensile strength and bending strength of plastics are measured. If necessary, other performance test items can be specified< br />
